Velvet is a space to meet, connect and interact freely — but safely.
To keep everyone protected, all users must follow these rules at all times.
Respect others
We expect all users to treat each other with basic kindness.
Not allowed:
Bullying, harassment, threats
Hate speech or discrimination
Insults, humiliation or intimidation
Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
If someone makes you uncomfortable → block + report.
Adults only
Velvet is strictly 18+.
Not allowed:
Profiles involving minors
Images or content of minors
Suggestive content involving minors
Violations → immediate permanent ban & reported to authorities.
Authentic identity
Keep Velvet real.
Not allowed:
Fake profiles
Fake ages
Impersonation
Stolen images
If we suspect your age/identity, we may ask for verification.
Failure = account removal.
No illegal content
Allowed:
Consensual adult content shared privately
Not allowed:
Non-consensual images
Revenge content
Pornographic commercial services
Sexual content involving minors
Graphic or explicit sexual behaviour
Everything violating this is removed immediately.
Privacy protection
Respect personal boundaries.
Not allowed:
Sharing someone’s private chats
Leaking addresses, photos, phone numbers
Posting screenshots without consent
Pressuring others to share private content
Report violations immediately.
Financial & scam protection
Never:
Request money
Send money
Share banking or crypto details
If someone asks for money → block + report.
Velvet is not responsible for financial transactions between users.
Self harm & Harmful Activities
Not allowed:
Encouraging self-harm, suicide or eating disorders
Dangerous challenges or stunts
Content promoting harm to yourself or others
If you see worrying content → report immediately.
Velvet may contact emergency services if someone is in danger.
Groups must stay safe
Group chats must follow the same rules as the entire platform.
Admins should:
Remove harmful content
Block dangerous members
Approve join requests responsibly
Velvet may remove groups that repeatedly violate rules.
Pins must stay safe
Pins cannot include:
Hate, harassment or bullying
Sexual, violent or illegal content
Scams or solicitation
Minors or sensitive private information
Violating pins are removed.
Reporting
You can report:
Profiles
Chats
Pins
Groups
Messages
Behaviour that feels unsafe
Reports are confidential.
Include screenshots when possible — it helps us review faster.
Enforcement & Consequences
Depending on severity, Velvet may:
Remove content
Restrict features
Ask for identity verification
Temporarily suspend accounts
Permanently ban users
Device-ban for severe violations
Notify law enforcement if required
Users receive an in-app message if action is taken.
You may appeal moderation decisions.
Tips for a safer experience:
Don’t overshare personal info
Stay in the app when meeting new people
Block freely — no explanation needed
