Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode is designed for everyone who prefers to stay in the background, protect their privacy, and move through Velvet without being automatically discovered by others. It hides your location and removes you from all discovery areas - while still allowing you to use Velvet normally and interact when you choose to.

What is Ghost Mode?

Ghost Mode removes your profile from all discovery areas, meaning:

• Explore

• Map

• List View

Users cannot find you by location, distance, or browsing.

Your online status is also hidden.

So unless you take an action, your profile stays invisible to everyone on Velvet.

What stays visibile while in Ghost Mode?

Only in these cases:

• They see you in a group you joined

• They see your Pin

• They see your like/comment on a Pin

You cannot be added through:

• Explore

• Map

• List View

• Distance-based lists

Ghost Mode removes you from everywhere people usually browse to find new users.

How do I activate Ghost Mode?

Go to:
Profile → Ghost Mode → Choose duration

You can select:
- 4 hours
- 24 hours
- 7 days
- 30 days

After completing your purchase, Ghost Mode starts immediately.

Your profile will show:
Active until [date + time]

How to deactive Ghost Mode ?

You can turn off Ghost Mode at any time.

If Ghost Mode is active, you will see a button:
“Disable Ghost Mode”

- Tap “Disable Ghost Mode” → Ghost Mode ends immediately
- Your profile becomes visible again

If you do nothing, Ghost Mode automatically ends when the selected duration expires.

What about refunds?

Ghost Mode purchases are non-refundable, even if you disable it early.

(This follows standard policies from Apple and Google.)

Does Ghost Mode affect Boost?

Yes - you cannot activate a Boost while Ghost Mode is active.

Location protection

While Ghost Mode is active:

• Your real-time location is never shared

• No bubble appears on the map

• No distance shown to anyone

• No one can see you in any “nearby” section
