Profile Setup
Your profile is how people get to know you on Velvet.
Here’s everything you need to know about setting up and managing it.
What others can see on your profile
Your public profile shows:
Profile photos
First name
Age
City & country
About me
Interests
Your phone number and email are never visible.
Adding and editing photos
You can upload up to 4 photos to your profile.
Guidelines:
Use photos where your face is clearly visible
No nudity or explicit content
No group photos where it’s unclear who you are
No celebrity photos or stolen images
You can reorder or delete photos anytime.
Location on your profile
Your profile shows:
City + Country
It does not show your exact address or live location.
Your real-time location is only used for:
Map (nearby users)
Distance display in Explore (country-based view)
Editing your profile informations
You can update the main parts of your profile at any time:
Your "About Me" text
Your Interests
Your Photos (add, remove, reorder)
Your age cannot be changed manually — it updates automatically based on your date of birth.
Porfile visibility
Your profile is visible in places where you interact inside Velvet:
Explore (country-based lists)
Map & List View (nearby users with distance)
Friend Requests (when you add someone or receive an add)
Groups (if you join public groups)
Chats (only with accepted friends)
Pins (your profile is shown together with your Pin)
Your profile appears anywhere you intentionally interact — this includes posting Pins, joining groups or connecting with people.
If you activate Ghost Mode, your visibility changes.

Profile guidelines
To keep Velvet safe and respectful, your profile must follow our community rules:
No nudity or sexually explicit content
No violence, threats or harassment
No hate speech or discrimination
No illegal content of any kind
No impersonation or stolen images
No content showing minors in unsafe situations
No advertising of services, sexual services, paid content
No external contact info (WhatsApp, Telegram, Snapchat, etc.)

Phone number
Email

Payment information
Only the information you add to your profile is visible.
